Each year, the annual conference expands beyond the walls of San Francisco’s Moscone Center, as Hartmann Studios transforms the surrounding streets into a hub of non-stop excitement for 60,000 of Oracle’s favorite partners.
Understanding the event is serious business – 2,500 sessions, live demos, a lineup of executive and expert speakers – Hartmann Studios set out to ensure “down time” was just as productive for all involved. Here are a sampling of “engagements”…
Tech Fest gave attendees a chance to mix and mingle with peers, try out new technologies and enjoy a private concert by Australian band, Empire of the Sun. Having a social media component is a must, but we delivered an unexpected twist with the “tweet for beer” station. The lines were long, but quick, as guests tweeted their choice of brew to a computerized tap.
CX Central Fest delivered more options to socialize in a dance-party scene that included a special performance by indie-electro band, Capital Cities.
Between sessions, Ping Pong Alley was a hot spot for attendees who were challenged to go head to head against professional table tennis players.
Nothin’ But the Net offered another major league option to play with a free throw shooting area on a pro-sized basketball court. With custom floor graphics, arena lighting and a special appearance by the Golden State Warrior’s dance team, this was a huge hit among conference-goers.
For those interested in nautical pursuits, the AC72, an 86’ wing sail catamaran from last year’s America’s Cup race was on display. Members of Oracle Team USA were also on hand for a meet ‘n greet autograph session.
Oracle’s famed Appreciation Event wrapped on Treasure Island and this year’s celebration did not disappoint. To provide a dramatic entrance to the festivities, Hartmann Studios installed an oversized “O,” measuring 32’ high and 40’ in diameter and illuminated with sponsor logos and streaming video. Reveling under the stars, attendees enjoyed free flowing food and libations, along with an all-star concert lineup, featuring Spacehog, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Aerosmith.
